Franklin Square is a driving town in a way its neighbours are not. There is no railway platform inside it, so anybody commuting has to drive to a station elsewhere and park there for the day, or drive the whole way. That single fact shapes everything about how cars here get used and damaged: more miles, more time in somebody else's lot, and more of the daily grind on Hempstead Turnpike than a resident of a station village would ever do.
It also makes the timing question sharper. If your car is already parked at a station in another town by half past seven, and our shop closes at six on weekdays and does not open at all on a Saturday, the overlap where you could physically hand us the keys barely exists. Meeting the car where it is standing, whether that is the lot you commute from or the driveway it sits in on a work-from-home day, is usually the only version of this that fits around a real week.

Take New Hyde Park Road north out of Franklin Square, cross Jericho Turnpike, and continue up to Hillside Avenue, then east to Willis Avenue and north to 708 in Williston Park. Fifteen minutes or so, with the turnpike crossings deciding whether it is nearer twelve or twenty. Franklin Avenue north through Garden City and Mineola is the other reasonable route.
