Roslyn's hills add a wrinkle to how we schedule this. A car with a broken window parked on a slope collects water in places a level car would not, so getting it sealed quickly matters more here than in flatter parts of the county. We also prefer a level working spot, which in the old part of the village can mean using a municipal space rather than a steep driveway. If the car is drivable and the weather is dry, the run down Roslyn Road to the shop is short and gives us a controlled place to work. If it is not drivable, we come up with the panel and a temporary cover in case the forecast turns. Either way the price is settled before anybody sets off.
